I learn to be a better person every day by being around my students.
My math students are European, Black, Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern, Native American, and Pacific Islander. Their families are mostly economically below the poverty level, but we also have a middle class and wealthy students.
I focus on equity in my mathematics classroom. I try to make sure that each student feels strong, confident and happy.
My students are open-minded, persistent, compassionate and analytical.
I hope I can be them when I grow up
