Most of my students come from struggling families and neighborhoods. They bring their enthusiasm for learning to the classroom, but not much else when it comes to school supplies. Our school is equally challenged this way. Teachers get next to nothing to start their class for the year, so I shop sales and search for donors such as yourselves who want to help out.
