Technology has been a fully integrated resource for teaching for over a decade now. It should only make sense, with scholars growing up with technology and screens at the palm of their hands, that they also have the same technology to use in the classroom to aid their 21st century styles of learning. I would use the projector for interactive programs, like Quaver, a music skill growing program afforded by the School District of Philadelphia, to do ear training, creative modes like movie composition, sound FX building, and more. Quaver is a fantastic resource that can only be blown up to class size through the use of a projector. A projector would also be immensely helpful for entrance, exit, and relaxing middle activities found in other programs and videos. For brain breaks, I would project videos of people demonstrating helpful relaxing tools, community building activities, music videos, and more. I could use notation software for composition and transcription as an entire class so the class can get a visual representation of the music they are hearing, a luxury my scholars are not currently afforded. In my opinion, a projector is a basic tool that comes with a vast amount of doors that open for scholars to enjoy visualization of music, brain breaks, and interaction with sounds and music. Every classroom should have a projector in their classroom, and unfortunately, my music classroom is missing that link to multi-modal learning.
