Most students can't afford headphones or earbuds, which unfortunately are not covered by our school budget, but are desperately needed.
Our curriculum is online using Moodle, Seesaw, Google Classroom, and Online Safety, so having headphones is crucial for students and their learning experience. Much of the curriculum has audio, so having listening devices is necessary, especially in the classroom setting. I'm sure you can imagine how challenging it is to teach if you have 20+ iPads/Chromebooks talking at the same time.
Our K-2 grade students are at a ratio of 1-3 on iPads with 1 iPad per 3 students and our 3-5 grade students are at a ratio of 1-1 on Chromebooks with 1 Chromebook per student.
