I am a former 5th grade teacher moving to teach kindergarten next year. I want to make sure that my students have everything they need to make the start of their academic journey a success.
Kindergarten is where kids learn the tools that they will need to be successful for the rest of their schooling career: how to work with others, how to read & write, and how to understand basic numeracy skills. Being a former 5th grade teacher, I know how hard it is for kids to catch up when they lack the foundational math and literacy skills taught in kindergarten.
Help me prepare my students for a lifetime of success by equipping my classroom with basic supplies. Reusable Write & Wipe Pockets, sheet protectors, & dry-erase markers allows students to get continuous practice with reading, writing, and math skills without having to use as much paper. Other basic school supplies listed, such as construction paper, glue sticks, index cards, and a heavy duty pencil sharpener will be used throughout the year for hands-on literacy and math projects. I am hoping to acquire a projector so that my students can benefit from the many online learning tools and interactive technology available on the web. I will also use this to lead "Go Noodle" exercises and mindfulness for kids to have brain-breaks throughout the day.
