In our classroom, I would like to use morning tubs instead of morning work and worksheets. This would give my students the opportunity to start every morning learning and playing in a safe environment. I have also noticed that my students need to practice fine motor and social skills. Using tubs with LEGO bricks, farm animals, play beads, magnetic building blocks, etc. will give them the opportunity to build relationships with their peers while also learning vital social and emotional skills that will allow them to learn and grow in my classroom. My goal is for my students to look forward to starting each day building relationships with their peers through play!
