Small reading groups and literature circles give students a quiet place to gather to read and learn together. Students can be mentors to their peers, collaborate their ideas, discuss and respond to stories, and ask questions during their time in these groups.
This teaching table allows room for me to comfortably lead small group reading instruction and interventions while sitting with my students, and the Qball microphone encourages every student to become a more active participant. This time is vital in identifying student reading levels and who might be at-risk, needing further interventions by support staff.
A table such as this one allows me to interact with my students individually or a few at a time. The Qball microphone will hopefully entice my students to become more engaged and eager to read.
