This comfortable, colorful classroom rug will provide my students a place to gather as we build a kindergarten community of learners. Every morning we will gather on the rug to read and discuss stories, complete the daily news, play games and dance to music. This rug allows each student his or her own square to sit during morning meetings, read alouds and whole group instruction. By donating to this project, you will help to not only create a welcoming classroom environment but also provide my students with a comfortable place to do partner work instead of the cold tiled floor.
