My students have special education needs which often lead to attention issues. I have found that movement breaks help boost productivity and the kids look forward to moving around the classroom.
My class needs Balance Ball Flexible Chairs to be able to move and work at the same time! Research supports an obvious link between movement and learning. Oxygen is essential for brain function, and enhanced blood flow increases the amount of oxygen transported to the brain. Physical activity is a reliable way to increase blood flow, and hence oxygen, to the brain. By allowing my students to move while working, it will make it easier for them to focus on the task at hand.
