A fine doctor once said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Seuss could not have more accurately described the importance of literacy for early learners. Reading is a gift that encourages growth for children in each brain development, language, literacy skills, and social interaction.
These books will allow my students to learn truths of their world, meet new friends, soar to new places, experience different perspectives, and dive into diversity. Students will be encouraged to discover and wander through new interests and develop their strengths creatively and in literacy. This project will lay the foundation for their enjoyment of the print world.
