I work at a low income school. The parents of my students are hardworking, but this leaves a lot on the children. At the fourth grade level, motivation for learning does seem to decrease and a lot of work isn't being done at home, which shows in the classroom. They are great students that try hard in school and I know that they will go far if given the opportunity.
