The students learn in this unit how robots are used in today's world. We also learn how to code, assemble and program robots. They are able to practice their programing on a board we have made to replicate the one they will see at competition.
Robotics is a way to introduce students to pneumatic machines and how they help us in our jobs and in different fields of work.
Technology is so important in every field today.
We have acquired two robots through teacher workshops. These robots are to be used with 2 students. We desperately need more. I would like for the students to take their robots to competition this year.
These robots will stay in the 5th & 6th grade room and will be used over the years by many students. Each student will learn how to use pseudo-coding and programming. They will assemble and modify their robots to perform tasks after learning the basics during lessons and practice.
My students enjoy being challenged!! I have found that Robotics offers them a chance to experiment with programming. This unit teaches them all about robots in the real world. I am very excited about it and cannot wait to see them at competition.
