As we prepare for the new normal and get back to school sites for in-person teach post-pandemic, my students need individual desks to allow them to safely learn in the classroom.
My students deserve to know that their educational environment is important, instead of looking around and feeling that the worth of their education is reflected in the dilapidated state of the furniture in their classroom. How in the world are students supposed to function in a classroom with furniture that is rusted, old, mismatched, broken, falling apart, and not age appropriate? My students and my classroom need new desks and chairs that are appropriate for growing third graders.
I want my students to feel like they deserve better, because they do!
