My students have a difficult time staying seated throughout the day. They need the opportunity to fidget, rock, and bounce while they learn.
Students feel empowered when they have a choice in their environment and how they learn. I want to give students that choice. This is the first phase of my classroom redesign. I will give my students the choice of their seating during independent and group work time. They will be able to share ideas and work with their peers in these flexible seating options as opposed to leaning and talking over classroom desks. I feel that this change in work environment will boost their creativity and their excitement in their learning.
