My students are creative young people who are curious about the world and motivated to better understand how it works. They are from very loving families, most of whom are low-income and come from different parts of the world including El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Bangladesh, and China. Our classroom community includes children with learning disabilities, children learning English, and a wide range of backgrounds. Learning in an inclusive environment with high expectations helps them build the empathy, collaborative, and academic skills they will need for future success.
