Right now each of my students has to sit in a very uncomfortable metal desk. These are the type that has the metal chairs attached to them. They are horribly uncomfortable. When it is time to read, the only other choice they have is to sit on the very hard and uncomfortable floor. This is making reading time extremely difficult for them. They are having a difficult time staying focused when they are required to read for 30 minutes each day in a very uncomfortable spot. I really do not like to force these kids to sit in their uncomfortable chairs for 2 hours. If each had a soft pillow, I know they would be more motivated to read and reading time would be the best part of their day.
