Flexible seating gives students the power of choice. They are able to choose different areas in the classroom to sit. Currently my students are able to choose to sit on the floor with a clipboard, at a desk, or in the back on a futon. I have noticed that my students are more focused and willing to work when they are able to choose where to sit during independent working time. This allows me to work with small groups more effectively.
My students are more engaged in their work when they are able to choose their own place to sit and work. The products I selected will help give more seating choices to my students. The exercise balls and tractor chairs are for students who need to a little movement while working. They are also portable, so students are able to move these seats around the room.
I have seen how choice gives our students independence and motivation in the classroom!
