My students do paper and pencil work in their regular class---maybe too much. My students need a change of pace. They need to be able to write on marker boards using dry erase marker to do their thinking and then wipe away what they don't need.
My students need a change and a different venue for explaining what their brain is thinking. A markerboard top table will give them a better way to practice newly taught skills without there ever being proof that they did it right or wrong. The table will create a safe place to experiment, practice, ask questions, and have someone quietly tell them they did fabulous or that they need to take another look and make a few changes.
