As an extension to our AP Calculus class we have a robotics lab where students are able to implement real-world applications of our lessons. We have worked as part of the FIRST Program to build robots, but are looking to expand the lab to make it more practical for exploring real world applications of integration.
Using Arduino technology we plan to record accelerometer and gyro inputs from sensors and use them to compute position and orientation that we will use to drive a car. We already have many of the supplies, but are looking to acquire more / different types of sensors to use in our lab. We also have connectors, cables, and simple calculators we use for the work.
This project will enable us to expand to at least 6 stations for our work.
