These iPads will help my students to hear stories in a fluent and expressive way. Being able to listen to stories read online will help my students to develop listening skills and will provide a model for fluent reading. Online stories provide sound effects, voice inflections, and music that engage students in text while developing multimodal skills. Students are able to hear sounds in words, listen to and learn new vocabulary, and connect with literacy in a high interest way. My students will be able to engage in text in a relevant manner while developing 21st-century skills that they will carry with them throughout their educational careers. iPads are the the tools my students need to read!

About my class
