The materials I am requesting will be put to use as immediately to be able to be used by my new 2nd graders this Fall! The Bouncy Bands will help my students feel more relaxed and comfortable while they work and be a way to get those fidgets out. They quickly allow students a way to bounce their feet, stretch their legs, or simply rest their feet. The wobble cushions will help students who have trouble sitting for long periods of time focus on slight movements to keep them more engaged. It will greatly help my high sensory need students to focus more during class. The balance balls will be another choice for students to use in the classroom to help them with their learning focus.
I have been an educator for 10 years, I don't take for granted that I am helping shape our future leaders, so when I learn and research new practices that will benefit kids, I wholeheartedly jump in with the upmost enthusiasm.
These new classroom items will benefit my students by giving them flexible seating options to create a more comfortable and adaptive environment that helps them learn at their best. I believe students will be more likely to learn if they’re comfortable in the room, both physically and emotionally. I have high hopes for this project and the impact it will make in my classroom.
