The start of this new school year, my kindergarten students will have an old, stain, smelly, uninviting rug. Not acceptable or deserving! I want all my students to feel invited, without having to worry if this old rug will give them a rash or prefer to sit on a cold chair because its dirty..etc.. This new educational rug will provide them a soft clean inviting space to utilize throughout the majority of their day of learning. It would provide them with another strategy to learn/master (phonemic awereness) letter/sound correspondence, lowercase/capital letter, first sound of picture(word), segmentation, blending, reading, and vocabulary awareness. Students will also enjoy it by sitting with friends to read, talk, listen, sing, dance, exercise and lots more!
