When I was a student in elementary school I loved getting my Scholastic Weekly Reader. It allowed me to learn about nonfiction topics in a way that was engaging and fun. Please allow me to give that to my students. The Scholastic News Magazines will help students with reading nonfiction texts in a different, kid friendly way. As students are home due to COVID-19 this digital subscription to Scholastic News will give them access to informational texts they may not have at home. Also, as many of my students are English Language Learners Scholastic News will help them with putting different pieces of informational text in context.
