The Iris 12 x 12 cases are perfect for sorting materials for math and reading. Using the label maker tape, will allow every container to be labeled and easily accessible. The 5 x 7 photo boxes are perfect for sorting task cards that students need to access during independent time.
I will have each container labeled with the skill and/or concept focus so that we can find what we need quickly. Since these will stack, it will make it even easier to see what we have and get what we need. By having all of the materials organized and labeled, students will be able to get the materials they need quickly.
In our classroom, we have a lot of fabulous resources. However, without being properly organized, a great deal of time is wasted searching for the right material. Since each student has different needs, and each day requires a multitude of materials, organization is key to making the most of every minute
