My students are in in need of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) learning station. The concentration on STEM requires new resources that highlight the topic. The items that were selected will establish such a center. Each resource option such as the magnetic gears, dinosaur snap blocks and the Design and Build Education builders will allow children to think and problem solve through their play, focusing on the themes of STEM.
Education is changing and focusing on STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) to give children a head start in the way society is structured today. To have this specialized center that will give the children an option allowing them to work on STEM activities at their own pace is a dream of mine. Creating this specialized center will highlight STEM in my classroom giving it the spotlight it deserves.
