My classroom is full of diverse learners with various learning capabilities. I teach in a low-income school with many families who are struggling financially. Many students comes to school with heavy hearts and or hungry bellies, but even with all those things on their plate they are still so eager to learn! I try to make my classroom a safe space where they can feel happy and like a kid again. I love to see smilies on their faces and show them the power education has to change the trajectory of their life.
My students come to school with a lot of needs. I’m noticing a lot of students need tools that can increase their attention span and focus. This is why I am gearing my donors choose project towards flexible seating.
