I am passionate about incorporating STEM toys, activities, and projects into my kindergarten classroom. I will use these resources to support my students in exploring STEM activities through play and exploration. These activities will also support our math standards, by reinforcing one-to-one correspondence, counting, 2D and 3D shapes, and problem-solving. Through STEM, my students learn to be more effective communicators, creative thinkers, persistent engineers, and quality questioners. I want them to be risk-takers, so that they will try new things, make mistakes, and try again. STEM is perfect for teaching persistence, creativity, and teamwork. I am always amazed by what my students can do when given the opportunity to use technology to be scientists, engineers, and mathematicians.
