This school year I have a new classroom which is a little bigger and I am able to have a designated STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) area. Our program is played based and as a result is full of hands on activities. I want to give my students the opportunity to explore many different STEM concepts like coding, gravity, friction, inclines, simple machines, balance, and much more.
Technology is a very important part of our school philosophy and the code and go mouse kit will help my students learn some basic coding skills (technology) while having fun designing mazes (engineering) for the mouse to follow. The gravity blocks will help students understand the concept of gravity (science) and building (engineering). The ramps and balls will help the students with concepts of incline and friction and making predictions.
I love watching how my students work together and seeing the excitement on their faces as they explore.
