Kindergarten is the year of firsts. Students are experiencing regular school for the first time, and it's exciting! In all this excitement, it's important to keep in mind that they have to learn all of the foundational skills that will carry them all throughout their school experience. In this day and age, technology is a huge part of this! It provides support for students in addition to my lessons. For such a young age, tablets are a simpler means to a desired end goal in my class: learning to read. I believe that kindergarten is where learning begins. With these tablets, my wonderful students will be able to access additional sources of differentiated instruction programs. They will also be able to listen to books on the tablets which will allow them to work on and improve their listening comprehension skills.
