The supplies will be kept in our mental health center, a safe place where students can come to take a break, seek emotional support, and receive counseling. This space is available to students of ALL needs! Each and every bit of this supplies will be available to ALL 1500 students in our school building. Our mental health center is a place where students can come to tackle feelings of anxiousness, sadness, and frustration. But, we also LOVE when students stop by to tell us about a great day or highlight successes (both big and small) in their school life! The mental health center is run by the school social worker with immense support from the school counselors and school psychologist. Art supplies will be used for creative expression, because talking about emotions can be really hard! The camera will be used by students who want to express themselves through photography, but also by our You Matter Club students who help to produce a mental health awareness video that is shown to every student in the building (the students LOVE seeing their friends on camera)!
