When you walk inside my preschool classroom, you will find a large, colorful room divided into carefully planned interest areas. Interest areas includes a block area, a dramatic play area, a science area, a library, and an arts area. It is filled with bright, primary colors and a variety of materials for my students to manipulate, explore, snuggle, play with, and share. The room is especially designed to encourage my students natural curiosity and desire to learn about the world. You will find picture storybooks and colorful informational books on topics that interest children, such as animals, transportation and dinosaurs, families, food and much more. The objects placed in my cart will allow my students to learn and grow with each other using materials that require all of their senses. The count and compare toolbox, match it, math balance and big tape will allow my students to sort, count, measure and compare objects. The career figures will be used in the dramatic play center. It will allow my students to role play and it brings the real world into the classroom. The rhythm band set allows students to use excess energy through music and movement.
