I am the technology teacher and moving towards an all-inclusive STEAM educational experience. In addition to technology, I want to incorporate all of the areas of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math). I want to give hands-on, project-based learning opportunities. STEAM projects use critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and creative skills. STEAM projects connect with real-world experiences and introduces students to potential careers. The supplies will help me achieve this goal. The students are excited and enthusiastic about learning about technology and are eager to expand technology class into a STEAM program. I introduced the students to STEAM projects, and the students are hungry for more.
These building brick STEM challenge kits would change the way students learn in their technology class at my school. The building kits would be great for my K-2 students to learn the basics of design and engineering. The kit includes Lego pieces and idea cards so they can build real things or they can have the freedom to create and design their own ideas.
