The seniors at my high school have the unique opportunity to become dual-enrolled in a university-level math course. Roughly 100 of our seniors have registered. About two-thirds will be taking a class on Quantitative Reasoning with Statistics, while the other third chose Pre Calculus. Passing either course with a C or better will earn students college credit!
These students (many of whom have never bought their own calculator) will require one in their respective class. Providing each of them with a brand new calculator that they can call their own would be a great way to start off the semester.
