I teach in a school with limited resources. Many of our learning games and activities are second hand or even missing objects. We are working hard on achieving grade level activities. The issues of TIME magazine and the Math file folder games will encourage team work and healthy competition, while helping them achieve grade level gains. Using math and reading games will help the students learn in a fun way, they may not even realize they are learning! They can compete and help each other in a constructive way. Also, having real life magazines printed in age appropriate language will help them feel like a part of the world, even when they are so far away!
