I strive to engage my students through meaningful, hands-on experiences on a daily basis.
Dry erase boards will help my students gain much needed practice solving problems and creating graphs. I have found that students are willing to take many more risks in problem solving while using dry erase markers. The size and portability of the boards allow me to give students the instant feedback they need. The colored dice and Positive and Negative Number Dice will allow students to generate their own problems for lots of needed practice.
For too long math class has been associated with worksheets and never-ending textbook assignments. All these supplies will give us lots of fun and engaging practice that we need to become confident mathematicians. My students' engagement level goes through the roof when they get to generate their own problems to solve instead of solving problems I have written myself.
