I am hoping to provide my sophomore classes with supplies to highlight things they will notice in reading. Non-fiction reading requires students to find themes, similarities and to find questions and possible answers within the lines.
I would like to help our students who are not confident in their group discussion and collaboration organize their thoughts through color. Students will have their own supplies to annotate text, the colors will be similar to those at their grouping tables and they will be able to note and organize their ideas while reading. Th e points and questions for the readings can be brought to small and large groups in an organized manner with the help of the pos-its, flags and highlighters, Large post=its will be used to share ideas with whole classes and house group summaries.
