In our diverse second grade classroom, many students come from broken homes and low income families and look forward to coming to school even with their hardships. I am always looking to create incentives for the students who come to school and work hard. I also have many students who are special needs, have sensory issues and learning disabilities. Having positive reinforcements have always been a great help in redirecting these students to curb their behaviors and help them focus on the task at hand. Having something to look forward to at the end of a day for their great behaviors and positive academics has always been an awesome motivator.
