Learning isn't always through books. Life skills seems to be a lost art in the schools. My school offers an avenue where my students can succeed and take pride in unconventional ways. Without knowing it, my students are learning important science concepts like seed dispersal, photosynthesis, and pollination, but they are also learning life-long skill like how to start a garden and cook. You see, in my program, students learn gardening from the ground up. We build beds, plant and harvest, cook and eat! However, we have NO supplies and all are brought to and from each day by one teacher. Won't you help us begin to supply this program with wheelbarrows, shovels, and hoes for our garden?
