The materials for my classroom will allow my students to complete their tasks and assignments because they will have access to basic and necessary materials. Because I am a first-year teacher, I do not have access to the necessary materials my students need, such as, pencil sharpeners, pencils, whiteboard erasers, and books, which is why I am hopeful that by you donating to my class project my students will have the necessary supplies they need to reach their full potential. With these materials for my students, they will not only be equipped with the necessary supplies they need, but they will also be able to come to school ready to learn because they will have materials of their own. In my list, I have included both materials my students will need and materials I will need to teach my students more effectively. For example, paint will allow me to expose my students to art projects, while astrobrights paper will allow me to create colorful and engaging handouts and activities for them. The stories included in my project will help me teach them important character traits and skills they need to develop in order to be greater empathetic individuals. For example, "Chrysanthemum" will teach students to accept themselves and their peers for who they are. Lastly, by donating to my project you will not only help me provide my students with basic school supplies, but you will help me put a smile on their face the first day of school and allow them to better demonstrate their abilities in school!
