Many of the books chosen for this project have main characters who experience scenarios that my students can relate to. We will have important discussions and complete learning activities that will follow these picture book read-alouds to help teach students how to deal with their feelings.
These books will help students practice important life skills such as making mistakes, kindness, and responsibility while also practicing important comprehension skills such as identifying problem and solution, characters, and main idea and details. These picture books will model appropriate behavior to help students cope with the many emotions they feel on a daily basis.
