The books, Fish in a Tree and A Wrinkle in Time will be used to create a classroom of strong learners. These books present current issues that students deal with at this age levels.
We will use them to do book studies and learn different strategies throughout reading these magnificent texts. After reading both magnificent texts, they will become much more stronger readers and will be aware of what they are reading for their own personal independent reading choices.
They will also help support the readers who are resilient using texts that interest students based on their own personal backgrounds. These readers will start to recognize the importance of reading and begin to choose independent reading texts for themselves.
