This project is part academic and part developmental. The carpet is to create a welcoming environment, we don't have much in the room due to violent outbursts. They need a bit of comfort in a stark room. The social emotional materials are critical for their development as their primary disability is social/behavior skills. They will help instill the skills for dealing with emotions. The final part is for literacy. My students are 2 years behind where they should be and those supplies will help them to grow closer to grade level
