When you enter my classroom, imagine seeing all of my students quietly engaged, focused and smiling. This is the vision of students who are learning through play! For many of my students this is their first experience with school. The literacy activities that I am requesting will make learning their ABC's, rhyming and letter sounds fun and engaging! They will use the lock and keys to match upper case and lowercase letters together. Its essential that students learn the name of letters early in the school year.
The rhyming houses will allow my students to sort rhyming pictures to the corresponding house that have the same sounds. Students need this important rhyming experience to help them make connections with reading as we progress throughout the school year. Lastly, I'm requesting a phonemic awareness file folder game that will help my students connect the letter and sounds together. The bright and colorful illustrations will also help support my English language learners with vocabulary words. These 3 literacy activities will pave the way to success in reading.
I am so excited to embark on this journey with Ðǿմ«Ã½.org so I can get important resources in the hands of my students. To my future donors thanks for supporting me on this journey!
