When asked on the first day of school what they wanted to be, about 80% of students said that they did not know. Five months later, if you were to ask them again, they would say a scientist. And most of those who knew what they wanted to be before, have shifted their thinking to becoming a chemist or a paleontologist.
All of the items included in my project will help my sixth grade students bring science to the classroom in meaningful ways. Students enjoy having hands on learning opportunities to help them learn better. We spend most of our science class exploring different models to help learn more about various scientific concepts.
With your contributions, you can help a 6th grade student practice science in a way that they will never forget!
