My students are learning about the world and their place in it. We have joined with over 40 other special needs classrooms from around the country to exchange postcards from our states.
The students will engage with learning about other states as they receive postcards from students from faraway places. Receiving the postcards will be an exciting part of our school year, and will help my students to learn about the geography and history of our country.
Each time we receive a new postcards, we will mark the corresponding state on our United States map. We will read the note written by another special needs student and learn what life is like in their state.
This project will fund the postcard exchange for the current school year and the next year, as well.
