Being a preschool teacher, I a teaching these first time students many basics in the classroom. My students are learning how to share, focus, and sit still with a short attention span. Because they are learning the daily routine as well as how to do activities in the classroom, flexible seating will allow them to focus more on the activity itself and actually learn from it. Many of my students are wiggle worms who like to lean back in their chairs, go on their knees or stand. Having flexible seating will help those individuals who can't sit still or get comfortable. Seeing other teachers use the flexible seating and then hear how much it's helped their students, makes me want to do whatever possible to give my students the same experience!
