Access to Scholastic News - Grade 2, will provide my students with access to current social studies and science events. This will act as a supplemental resource to enhance student's learning opportunities. Scholastic News provides students with opportunities to learn new vocabulary, concepts, and solidify reading comprehension skills/strategies. With Scholastic News, students will engage in meaningful and real world learning. The videos on Scholastic's website will be used to teach students new vocabulary used in daily life. With these magazines, students will have the opportunity to constantly be exposed to grade level text while practicing a wide variety of state standards.
