The Coffee Cart project has taken schools by storm because it has provided students with disabilities a learning opportunity which helps build vocational, functional life, academic, social, and communication skills and much more through the operation and management of a small classroom business. I can't even begin to describe all of the creative ways that academics could be approached through entrepreneurship, math, science, reading, writing, communication, and so much more. This small service project that not only benefits my special needs students but the entire school. It can also lead to inclusion opportunities, the discovery of new skills, the training for post-secondary vocational opportunities, and so much more.
