Reading is a key to intellectual growth, and books are essential to literacy skills. However, our school's library is only open on select occasions, limiting students' opportunities to obtain reading material. Together, my students have collaborated to build a wishlist of books for a classroom library and pledged to read daily. Students will benefit from having books that interest them available in their English IV classroom library. The more students read things they enjoy reading, the more they enjoy reading! Please help us build a student-led classroom library to facilitate their learning and literacy skills. The books on our project wish list were all selected by students for their classmates, and they will read and recommend books via presentations both in class and online via FlipGrid.
