Having yoga mats available to my students will enhance their participation in yoga-based mindfulness instruction. As a yoga participant myself, I have seen an enormous improvement in my daily stress levels through the incorporation of yoga into my life. If I can instruct my students using yoga mats instead of thin beach/bath towels from home, I believe their enthusiasm and the safety of instruction will be much improved! My students deserve top-notch equipment throughout their education and Health/PE equipment for them should be a part of that. However, I do not have the personal resources to purchase 30 yoga mats for my students.
